TubeTV, a free software for Mac OS X Leopard, Tiger, and above, allows you to convert and search YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, and many others video clips in a format suitable for streaming on your Mac computer. Unlike other free or open source software for your Mac operating system, this software is licensed. It's free and available for download at their website. The free software has many features that are useful and functional but some features may be too basic for those who have advanced computer knowledge. I personally recommend the paid version because of the numerous features it offers and the quality of video and audio you can expect.
I downloaded the software and found it to be quite user friendly and very easy to navigate, especially for people with very limited knowledge of using a Mac. I also like the feature of converting videos into other formats such as WebM which allows you to view and play videos in a player. Other features include the ability to watch videos while browsing the Internet, creating a video diary, storing videos in the system's hard drive and much more. I found the software to be very effective at finding the video and converting it to a stream suitable for streaming on the Mac computer. The software is simple to install and does not require any third party installation software or downloads. I believe TubeTV will soon be available for the download on the Macs operating system.
